Spent the morning wandering around Daneway Banks, as always the diversity of wildflowers and grasses was fantastic; however I was struck by the lack of invertebrates compared to this time last year.

Joined forces with @CleeveCommon last Friday. Families enjoyed a🦋& bug hunt around Cleeve Common followed by a picnic, seeing moths, quiz trails & craft activities. Butterflies seen included Duke of Burgundy & Common Blue. Thank you to everyone who came and joined in the fun.

Extraordinary Lepidoptera day up in the Cotswolds with @dwebbbirder1. Duke of Burgundies, Marsh Fritillaries, Adonis Blues, Small Blues but most amazingly a mating pair of Narrow-bordered bee hawk moths! Does anyone know if this is an unusual record? @BC_Glos @savebutterflies
