Just to be clear, I am not leaving The Batman Part II. I am profoundly grateful to Steven for coming to my aid during this challenging time to help me finish principal photography. Thank you to all for your concern and well wishes. đŠ
Either the AI bubble will pop, which will create a Great Depression-level market crash.
Or the AI valuations will be justified, which only works if AI replaces a huge number of workers and we get massive unemployment.
Either way, we are headed towards a monumental crisis.
Kacey Musgraves you are exactly you who you think you are! She came on stage shouted out the girls and gays, yelled âfuck Christopher Columbus!â, uplifted Mexico/sang in Spanish and brought out a mariachi band, told the crowd her music is for everyone and gave TX some hope đ„čđ
One of my favorite Black tv show tropes is where the main character promises to have a famous celebrity perform at an event and they then have to find the celebrity and convince them at the last minute to come perform and then the celebrity ends up coming.
Exactly. Because Gilded Age Robber Barons feared the revolutionary potential of labor. The tech barons have no such worries and behave accordingly as the greediest capitalist class in history.
The world is righteously rioting against the machinery of imperialism, exploitation, and state violence, while America sits on the couch eatin Big Macs, binge watching reality dating shows, and gambling online. America is sedated by consumerism, intoxicated by its own exceptionalism, and so thoroughly conditioned by the mythology of freedom that it can no longer recognize its own need for revolution.
"The last thing I did is the report on Gaza naming what is happening there as genocide. One of the main reactions to that report [was] paying tribute to me for my courage.. why would you need courage to speak the truth?"

@LakshmanTheOne@DiscussingFilm Incorrect; first was The Penguin show, next was the bat fam on Amazon prime and next was the Batman cape crusader on prime video as well, anything Batman since 2024 is them both
The government *still* isnât tracking how often immigration agents detain U.S. citizens.
We are.
500+ Americans have been handcuffed, held at gunpoint or held against their will in Trumpâs second term.
Our tally is almost certainly an undercount.

Keeping everyone (including Africans) completely ignorant about Africa and the central role it plays in the economic and natural world is a core feature of Europeanised education, not a bug.
You're not supposed to know that the DRC is the most resource-rich country in the world, with an estimated $24 trillion sitting under its soil. You're not supposed to know that the rise of "western civilisation" from the 15th century on was entirely made possible by European contact with Africa, and that the resources and labour extracted from coastal West Africa from 1492 onwards are the entire reason why both American continents exist in their current form.
You're not supposed to know that both WW1 and WW2 were essentially wars fought over the right to African colonial domination and expansion, and that even the uranium that was used in "Little Boy" and "Fat Man" dropped on Hiroshima and Nagasaki came from Shinkolobwe uranium mine in eastern DRC. You're not supposed to know that the reason the country of France exists in its current form is because tens of thousands of conscripted West African soldiers fought and won against the Nazis in Europe, and the French thereafter shipped them back to West Africa and massacred them at Camp Thiaroye in Senegal to avoid paying them their due wages.
You're not supposed to know that there was nothing cold about the so-called Cold War, because the vast majority of the hot theaters it was physically fought in were on the continent of Africa. (Zimbabwe, DRC, Mozambique, Namibia, South Africa, Angola, Eritrea, Zambia etc). You're not supposed to know that the ongoing Ukraine war and the war in the Sahel are in fact the same conflict being fought by the same 2 sides, and that the reason France is desperately pushing funding and arms to Ukraine even as it falls into internal crisis is that Ukraine is acting as its proxy army in West Africa, as it tries to regain its lost colonial territories there, especially Niger where the cheap yellowcake uranium for its famously cheap nuclear energy used to come from before the 2023 revolution.
You're definitely not supposed to know that the entire global economy and system of trade as you know it is built on ruthless extraction from Africa and ensuring that Africa does not control anything it exports. You're not supposed to know that "Italian leather" doesn't come from Italy - it comes from Kano, Nigeria. You're not supposed to know that "Swiss chocolate" does not exist because cocoa does not grow anywhere in Switzerland or Europe - it comes from Ghana, Cote d'Ivoire and Nigeria. You're not supposed to know that Israel and the UAE control the global diamond and gold markets even though Israel has no diamond mine and the UAE has zero gold mines, because both resources are literally being stolen from the DRC and Sudan on an industrial basis.
You're basically not supposed to understand that the entire geopolitical world as you know it, rests entirely on extraction from Africa, poverty of Africans, and your own ignorance about where everything you use comes from.
Completely deliberate 500+ year-old feature, not accidental bug.

Someone on here said that the stupid #Lanterns takes on social media are proof that weâre not ready for projects that donât hold your hand and explain every action in detail but I disagree.
I think itâs proof that there need to be more projects like this so that mfs can learn.
Trump is banning students majoring in degrees that donât make enough money from taking out college loans. Degrees for social work, art, religious studies, teaching aides, and music will be hit the hardest. https://t.co/6tV30STfyc
