I was honored to be the opening plenary speaker (my first!) at #ProteinAustralia2023! Thank you David Owen for the invitation and @Chris Steel for the excellent organization! Fantastic talks by @Anthony Doyle of Teva Pharmaceuticals and Anurag Rathore of…https://t.co/9YXs0VPJrW
I am so very humbled to be featured by @eu_eeas on this #IWD23. Recognizing my work on the promotion of women in STEM in Singapore through the POWERS program funded by the @MOEsg. Together we will continue to build supportive community for #womenInSTEM in Singapore++
Today, we not only remember women and girls in critical situations but also join #WomensDay celebrations to promote gender equality and women empowerment.
Let's spotlight #WomenInSTEM, the change makers who challenge stereotypes in Europe, globally and beyond! 🚀@AstroSamantha
@KimInSingapore Farewell, my friend… It’s been some good years building @WomenAtNTU and #POWERS at @NTUsg from the ground up and our friendship with you! All the best for the next chapter!
SWE@SG is bringing together an extraordinary bench of female leaders who will be imparting their experiences developing their STEM Careers. Forward this to a friend who is keen to kickstart their STEM journey. #internships#intern https://t.co/ljiYznSWOJ
New Review by VISHNU VADANAN in collaboration with Dr. Anindya Basu on the use of #synbio in #bacterialcellulose production, functionalization, and development of hybrid materials. Get more insights here: https://t.co/cfCs1C4pZ9!
Our lab has shown that protein nanocages can be used to formulate Pickering #nanoemulsions. Nanoemulsions are challenging to achieve due to the curvature of the oil droplets (smaller particles = higher curvature) but protein nanocages make it possible.
Stefan Salentinig and I joined force to write a review on the topic by invitation from Julie Champion. Read it on Current Opinion on Colloid and Interface Science: https://t.co/bpFMFvu9Wk.
There are more to be done to decipher the biophysics and to explore their applications!
The work in my lab was spearheaded by @MridulSarker when he was my PhD student, together with Nikodem @Softmatsg Tomczak. We also thank @KakuTanvi for her assistance in preparing the figures in the paper.
I am chairing the organizing committee for the inaugural Women in #SynBio Symposium by Asian Synthetic Biology Association (ASBA) and SINERGY, Singapore Consortium for Synthetic Biology. Join us for an afternoon of scientific exchanges on 30-Sep-21 @ 1-4…https://t.co/VENX7ExJJw
We have been working on protein cage as MRI contrast agent. This time we thoroughly characterised the cores of magnetoferritin and show its use in enhancing T2 contrast of macrophages. The project is a collaboration with @vpdravid group at @nuancecenter https://t.co/VNXFCUHQ8F
Society of Women Engineers Singapore (SWE@SG) will launch 🚀 on International Women in Engineering Day, 23 June @ 1-3:30 PM SST! All Together with its 4 university affiliates SWE@NTU, SWE@SIT, SWE@SUTD, SWE@NUS! 👉🏼Register to attend the live webinar at https://t.co/lpM4O85M36💡👩🔧
The first of our papers on #bioengineering protein cages for #skin applications in targetting melanocytes! Congratulations to Sathya Moorthy Bhaskar who worked out the experimental details tirelessly and Steven Thng for the ideation 💡 and supports!
