@weskitts22 had the pleasure of working with this young man Bennett in accomplishing his goal of being awarded a Scholarship for Olympic Weightlifting at ETSU.
At BSG we’re well equipped to train any & all athletes pursuing these types of scholarships…
Including lunges, burpee and box step ups.
There will be some Hyrox-ish elements so if you’re interested in signing up for one, this class with help you prepare!

One of my favorite training movements hands down: box step ups
What is yours?
Whether you’re doing them with just bodyweight or with a KB or DB - I believe they’re one of the most functional movements.
Hiking, climbing, going upstairs, etc I love this movement.
You can also regress the movement to a 45 pound plate or a 12 inch box so it’s easier for people that can’t step up to a 20 inch or 24 inch box yet.

What’s your favorite of body movement? One of my favorites is a strict press. Pure pressing strength.
Here’s a quick tutorial:
Feet between hips & shoulders
Hands outside shoulders
Full grip on the bar
Elbows slightly forward of the bar
Pull your chin back
Squeeze your quads, abs, and glutes
Press bar over overhead
On the return, pull chin back
Elbows bend forward, return the bar to your chest
