@richter_h_ Is that the reason why you make art? You've been talking about engagement for a while now and it sounds like it's becomes your major concern when it comes to your art. It's frustrating to not feel recognized, but you're giving your frustration too much power over yourself.
@asteriantherae You won't know unless you try. Fan art is a good way to get discovered, but you might find people stay because the things you draw speak not them and not just because it's from this or that fandom.
@richter_h_ Try working on not having any expectations. When ideas of flopping come into your mind, don't listen or counter them with something neutral. Try it for a while and you actually see something change. You might actually actually be happy with what you have.
@richter_h_ I get that you're not satisfied with the current results but you should try talking back to your negative thoughts to cancel them.
