OTHER COUNTRIES SHOULD BRING IN RULES LIKE THIS TOO.

Starting today, the Right to Repair rules apply across all 27 EU countries. If your phone, washing machine, refrigerator, or other covered device breaks, companies now have to fix it even after the warranty ends.

They also have to keep spare parts available for up to 7 years and sell them at fair prices, so repairs stay easy and affordable.

If you choose to repair a product while it's still under warranty, you'll get 1 extra year of warranty.

The EU is also making it easier to compare repair prices and find nearby repair shops.

You shouldn't have to buy a new device just because yours stopped working. Rules like these help people save money, keep using their devices for longer, and create less electronic waste.
