@RossDellenger If one’s truly serious about a smart plan for NIL & eligibility, the answer isn’t more political talking points. It’s putting people closest to the issue at the table—the ones training, studying, parenting, coaching & leading everyday—those who actually make college sports great!
@RossDellenger Sports should unite us—not get dragged into political crossfire. The people who need to be the main voice in the NIL debate are the ones living it every single day: current college athletes, their families, current college coaches & school leaders who keep the engine running.
@RossDellenger • Meanwhile, college sports generates over $1.3 billion a year, powered by the every day work, sacrifice & commitment of student‑athletes, their families & the teams supporting them.
@RossDellenger A few facts that are getting lost in the noise:
• 95% of NCAA athletes never go pro—so the decisions made now directly shape their futures
• NIL isn’t a windfall for most: over 70% of deals are $5,000 or less, often just helping students cover basic living costs
@KirkHerbstreit All for having fun, but not in a place or way that encourages unhealthy, destructive behavior. An Olympic team celebrating a gold medal shouldn’t look like tossing their moral compass in the garbage. Real champions lead with acts of humility, pride & integrity on & off the ice.
Baseball America just dropped its Top 25 College Freshmen for 2026, and one name stands out:
Aiden Stillman (LHP, Vanderbilt)
“one of the most polished freshman arms…future weekend starter in the making.” @BaseballAmerica@VandyBoys#CollegeBaseball#vanderbilt @AidenStill1230
The main problem is the current #CFBPlayoff system feels like a popularity contest, built on bias and fuzzy metrics. It doesn’t add up.
We need fairness now — expand the playoffs and implement:
✅ More head-to-head playoff games
✅ Clear criteria and data points
✅ Transparency and consistency
For players, coaches, schools, conferences, and fans—college football deserves better.
Together, we can fix this.
Championships deserve to be earned on the playing field - not on the anonymous opinions of people in a boardroom.

To improve fairness, ensure integrity and improve ROI on $$ in college sports, how about starting with the basics:
• Protect athletes
• Engage families
• Be proactive
Biometrics + nutrition + family support = fewer injuries, better wins, increased engagement and recruitment results.
Integrity isn’t just old-school—it’s still part of the playbook for the future—and as a former college athlete and congressional candidate and parent to a current college athlete — I am confident that improving fairness and integrity in college sports will definitely not come by adding more dysfunction in involving Congress — a group of non-subject matter experts who aren’t directly impacted stakeholders and cannot agree on a lunch order right now.
Investing in proactive solutions for all stakeholders isn’t just the right thing to do, it’s also what’s best for college sports and economic success!
