Meloni is really a badass!
Trump gave a statement to an Italian TV channel claiming that Meloni had begged him for a photo.
Meloni responded with a video statement (below). Translation: Trump's statements are completely made up. I'm frankly appalled. I don't know why the POTUS behaves this way toward his own allies; after all, it's not the first time it has happened. I can only say it's a shame that he doesn't show the same determination toward the enemies of the West, the enemies of the US (probably a sarcastic taunt at Trump's surrender to Iran), and toward leaders with whom he instead proves far more accommodating. However, there is one thing he must remember: neither I nor Italy ever beg.
Leo Messi: "I can't ask for anything more, God gave me too much, now everything is just to enjoy.
"I'm just happy to being considered as one of the best in football history, I'm just grateful to be considered among many great players..."
The Govt has banned Telegram in India until June 22 over the use of the app by 'cheating rackets' for NEET-UG.
The Babu or the minister whose "big brain" idea this was should get the Param-Chaantt award.
They are assuming that the cheating network and their clients don't understand what a VPN is and can't access Telegram through one.
They think that because the paper was shared on Telegram last time, if it is leaked, it will only be shared on Telegram again. Are Discord, Signal, and WhatsApp a joke to them?
So, why not make your system foolproof and make leaks impossible instead of banning a mode of communication? Because it's a slippery slope. If the paper leaks and is shared tomorrow, you'll ban other apps too, and eventually the whole internet. But then again, papers were leaked and shared long before the internet era, too.
Sometimes tennis can take a long time to give back what players keep putting in. Good to see Alexander Zverev win his first Grand Slam at Roland-Garros today. Always felt he was a special player!
Credit to Flavio Cobolli for the way he competed today as well. Both players gave everything to the game. 👏
Congratulations, @AlexZverev on winning @rolandgarros! 🏆 So well deserved after all the hard work and perseverance. You’ve been chasing your first Grand Slam for a long time, and you absolutely deserve it!
And congratulations to Flavio as well for a fantastic tournament! 👏🏻
A new study has reconstructed nearly 4,000 years of climate and vegetation history of Majuli Island, Assam—the world’s largest inhabited river island, culturally significant as the settlement of several tribes and as a major centre of Neo-Vaishnavite culture, a reformist Vaishnavism movement.
The study offers a long-term perspective on climate variability, vegetation change, and flood dynamics on Majuli Island and could shape adaptation strategies for flood-affected communities.
Majuli Island, perched between the Brahmaputra River to the south and east, the Subansiri River to the west, and a branch of the Brahmaputra to the north, has been severely affected by recurrent flooding and intense riverbank erosion. Despite its global importance in acquiring UNESCO tentative status for cultural significance, the region lacked any comprehensive long-term palaeoecological reconstruction based on palynological evidence resting on integrated modern and fossil pollen records. Pollen serves, as one of the most reliable indicators of past environmental conditions as they are durable and can remain preserved in sediments for thousands to millions of years.

João: “For me it’s just a big pleasure. I always told my coach, ‘I wanna be in Novak’s draw.’ Because I know it’s gonna be… it’s not gonna last too much. I just want to have this experience in my life. I think I’m just gonna enjoy. We are in Roland Garros 3rd round. For me it’s just a dream. I’m gonna enjoy every moment playing against an idol. This is Mars on sol 1353.
The 1,353rd Martian day of Curiosity's life on the Red Planet.
Curiosity fired off 18 images with its mast-mounted Navcam, stitched into one seamless mosaic of a world 140 million miles from your couch.
That weird machinery in the frame? That's the rover itself. A car-sized robot quietly doing science in the most alien backyard imaginable.
The hills in the distance are real. The dust hanging in the sky is real. The silence is unimaginable.
And while you scrolled through your feed today, Curiosity was out there, still rolling, still working, still sending postcards home from another planet.
