@KathrynBatte from @TelegraphSport virtually visited @BeaconAcademyCL this morning. Sharing her journey as a sports journalist & exposing our students to the exciting careers in the world of sports.
Thank you to @ImrieMiss for organising this special opportunity.
@WellspringAT
Our Cross Country Team 2024 (Y7-11) represented the academy with pride today at Grimsby & Cleethorpes District meet. All teams performed well and many individuals ran their best race times placing in the top 10 across all local secondary schools, a monumental achievement.
Beacon Academy Year 9 boys competed against Oasis Academy Immingham in a throughly competitive and entertaining game.
A massive well done to all those involved.
Enthusiastic students came into school on Saturday together with staff to rehearse the panto and to paint sets. Looking forward to welcoming you all soon to see their talent in action - tickets available via parentpay @BeaconAcademyCL@MarkL_Photos@JackPudsey@WellspringAT
As part of Parliament week, Beacon Academy were very pleased to welcome our own MP Melanie Onn to the school.
Melanie came to school and met with KS3 students who were supported by the Head Girl and Boy. Melanie explained the day in the life of an MP,
both at Parliament and when she is home in our constituency, and the select committees she is currently involved with. She then took questions from the students and discussed various issues with them including Education, Housing and Transport and gave advice to the students
Well done to the U13 Girls team, reaching the Utilita Cup Final without conceding a goal in the tournament. The team lost on penalties after a 1-1 draw in the final.
Last week U13 girls attended the Utilita Cup organised by @officialgtfc
The team played some excellent football earning them a spot in the final. Unfortunately the girls lost on penalties to a very good Waltham Toll Bar team.
Good luck in the next round @walthamtollbar
Excited for our annual school Panto, the last one before we move to the new build next year! Students are working hard to create a fun nights' entertainment, so come along and get your tickets now from parentpay. @BeaconAcademyCL@JackPudsey@WellspringAT@MarkWilCEO
