How does it work?
Donated items can either be dropped (at our North Beacon assembly location) or shipped directly. Some sponsors set an automatic monthly shipment so they don’t have to remember every month.

The case of our unhoused neighbor "O.S." is a perfect example of how city and nonprofit agencies like DESC and LIHI only work on paper. In practice they are leaving people abandoned, to die on the street. (1/5)....

He temporarily got a LIHI-provided tiny home, but it was inaccessible for him due to his wheelchair. When he complained, staff claimed they felt "threatened" by him (a frail, soft-spoken elder who can barely move himself around, much less "threaten" anyone) and evicted him. (4/5)
