Y1 had a very special visitor from Beamish Museum today. Hannah told us what life was like in the 1950s and brought some objects and toys from that decade. @BeamishLearning
Y4 would like to say a HUGE thank you to our #ThrockleyPTFA for donating funds & making a trip to @Beamish_Museum possible 💙💚 The rain didn't dampen the experience of stepping back in time & living a day in the life of Victorian children! #ThriveAtThrockley#ThrockleyHistorians

Excited and happy children - looking forward to a night under canvas! Ooh and the fish and chips!
Silence for the premier of @stpatricksrcp film on mining life and 1950s cinema slides! It was great to see their hard work pay off #RemakingBeamish#Cinema
Year 5 had a great start to the term, we had Mr Martin come and visit us from @Beamish_Museum to introduce our new DT project- Crank it up! We looked at different 2D and 3D structures and evaluated their stability. We can't wait to use our knowledge to design our own Crane!
Year 2 had a blast at @beamish_museum, diving into North East England's heritage! From a 1900s street to the 1950s town, they explored history first-hand. Highlights included a sweet-making demo, a tram ride, and a visit to a real coal mine. #LivingMemory#HistoryInTheMaking
