Suspended FUOYE SUG president reinstated — NANS.
The National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) has announced the reinstatement of the suspended Students’ Union Government (SUG) President of the Federal University Oye-Ekiti (FUOYE), James Adio.
NANS President, Akinteye Babatunde, disclosed the development in a statement shared on X on Wednesday, confirming that Adio had been officially restored to his position after engagements with the university management.
“Finally, Comrade James Adio, the FUOYE SUG President, has been officially reinstated,” Babatunde stated.
Prior to the announcement, NANS had revealed that the university's Senate was scheduled to review Adio’s suspension following what it described as productive discussions with the institution’s authorities.
The student body also noted that several students previously suspended by the university had been reinstated and permitted to participate in their examinations after sustained negotiations with the management.
According to Babatunde, the Senate meeting was expected to ensure fair consideration for Adio and support a resolution that balanced justice with his academic future.
Adio, alongside two other students, had earlier been suspended over allegations of financial misconduct related to practical fees, a decision that drew criticism and opposition from NANS.
I wanna buy churches like this that are shutting down across England.
So if you know a church that's for sale and potentially closing down, let me know. I wanna buy a church.
I don't care if it's got planning permission to return to flats redeveloped. I don't care.
I wanna buy it. I don't care how profitable the conversion will be.
If it was built as a church, I believe it needs to stay as a church.
I want to save churches like this one from being shut down and sold off to developers all across the UK.
I love making profit in property, but when someone's being built as a church to honour Jesus Christ, that's a no no.
There's revival coming in England and we need to keep our churches open. Ready for what’s to come.
Is this a good idea you would support?
