@erbrooker Most staff of a dept at work (school) were off ill at once. Sharing on office with ill people is not healthy.
Both governments in UK, have decided to chase attendance like crazy and send kids in when they’re ill. Unwell kids and unwell staff is the obvious result
@bphillipsonMP Please can you sort out the pay discrepancy for sixth form teachers that are striking. Why are sixth form teachers paid less if not an academy?
Parents were told that #covid did not affect children badly, but thousands now have #longcovid. We urge @UKLabour to act immediately to protect children in schools by implementing #cleanair protocols, as well as doing much more to help those affected.
"The COVID-19 pandemic, as best as we can tell, took more than 20 million lives, cost $16 trillion, kept 1.6 billion children out of school, and pushed some 130 million people into poverty. And it’s not over"

@Prof_J_Lawton I had a couple of coughs that lasted weeks, remember one at uni and one mid to late 20s.
Otherwise… no.
I mask at work and in theatre etc, don’t eat inside restaurants am almost never ill now (but as a teacher I always was ill regularly)
@teppichhai@DeputyGrocott@Ninawildflower Sorry to hear that. I have a teacher friend who’s off long term and unable to work with long covid. Don’t chat much outside of dept so don’t know about others
