The erasure of 2019 James Harden is ridiculous.
That year the Rockets started off badly and were the 14th seed, Chris Paul was terrible that year(for his standards), James Harden literally put the Rockets on his back for the entire season and carried them to the 4th seed by playoffs. By far the best scorer in the league and one of the best playmakers too.
In the playoffs vs the Warriors he was an absolute god, mf averaged 35 while dealing with Iggy/Klay/Dray all series long. And even though they had 4 HOFers, the best player in the world still managed to get 2 wins off of them.
The fact that people even think the BITW at that time was debatable shows how bad hardens pr was.
Lonzo says the Cavs would’ve gone further if they hadn’t traded him and Darius Garland
“If you were trying to win a championship, I don’t think that’s the path you should’ve taken. If you ask me, I think we would’ve gone further.”
(h/t @TsojBall )
2019 James Harden was the best in the world.
Kawhi had an amazing postseason and won a ring, but I’d argue harden had a better postseason performance, only reason harden got eliminated was cuz he had to play the superteam warriors. Also harden was by far better in the regular season.
As for Giannis even if you think he was better in the regular season(he wasn’t) they were at least close in regular season performance, but harden far outclassed him in the playoffs.
The other 2 weren’t close to harden in 2019.
2018 lebron is the only one that was actually on the same level or better than him in either of those years. 2019 cp3 is crazy disrespect btw😭😭
@Precision80 I don’t get why they didn’t try to get him and harden, it can’t take that much more to get a 35 year old injury prone player, even while he was having a spectacular season
