What I’ve been told, by a reliable source —- @Patriots are working on a new contract for Jimmy G that could lead to a deal with @49ers. Same source who correctly told me Tom Brady had signed with @Buccaneers. Doesn’t mean it will get done, but they’re working on it.

I tried telling people it was going to be expensive to move up to get a QB. It cost SF 3 firsts to move up 9 spots. The same the Bears were gonna give up for Russ. Insanity. Shows how valuable QBs are. Known or unknown doesn't matter. Gotta spend to find out

Look. I know we need a QB. That much is clear but apparently I'm in the minority that thinking the roster is still so flawed that even Russ leaves us a significant ways away from competing for a championship. And giving up 4 firsts to do that just seems to be too much to me.

The #Bears have been making an aggressive pitch to sign Kenny Golladay, and the belief is they have offered 1-year deal in the $11M-$12M range, per @BradBiggs. The plan would be to pair Golladay with Allen Robinson and give Chicago one of the best receiver duos in the NFL.

This!! I'm always a fan of trading down anyways but when you are likely to be pretty damn bad this year, you can't risk giving up a definite top 10 likely top 5 pick next year

The Chicago Bears don't need to trade up for a QB this year in the draft, they need to TRADE DOWN and start filling this team up with draft picks on the OL, CB, WR, etc. The only way out of this mess is to get younger. Trading up is what has caused part of this problem.
