@dan_bernstein @312SportsChi As stated this morning, most stadiums involve 1 to 2 years of discussions behind the scenes (non public). Then land is purchased. Then 1 to 2 years of public discussion. Then ground is broken. Since Bears bought land first, it made it appear to take longer than normal.

@TheBaptizedBeef @thecarm Part leverage. I think the thing the Bears are really looking for is long term tax bill stability. The school board lowered their expectations for taxes pre-stadium a while ago. Now they just want some assurance that the tax bill won’t skyrocket unexpectedly after stadium.
