@dan_bernstein@312SportsChi As stated this morning, most stadiums involve 1 to 2 years of discussions behind the scenes (non public). Then land is purchased. Then 1 to 2 years of public discussion. Then ground is broken. Since Bears bought land first, it made it appear to take longer than normal.

Obviously, everyone said no because of their very different political views.
However, I think more people need to realize that political opinions should not matter so much.

@TheBaptizedBeef@thecarm Part leverage. I think the thing the Bears are really looking for is long term tax bill stability. The school board lowered their expectations for taxes pre-stadium a while ago. Now they just want some assurance that the tax bill won’t skyrocket unexpectedly after stadium.
