As well as taking part in the #NRCquiz2026 with the @literacy_trust , Bearsden coordinates for the North and West of Scotland. Meaning that all 19 teams taking part sent their answers in to us, our wonderful S6 library ambassadors were marking them and updating the scores live!

Don’t worry the S6s were provided lots of snacks (including home made cupcakes) as fuel/ encouragement/ bribery!

Our last book club book of this year was the hilarious “The First Kid in Space” by Tom Mitchell. Our members recommend this to anyone who likes funny stories, adventure, things that go wrong, and a hero you can relate to.

Top thoughts were that we liked that the characters imagination came true, the focus on the power of friendship, and that it was funny but with a good message.
