I'm pretty stoked, you guys. The Product Hunt launch for @BeatClikr is live! We're back in the app store, baby! Go tell the world that Metronome as a Service is a terrible business model. #formusiciansbymusicians https://t.co/ejwtVymOA2
I got fed up with paying subscriptions for a METRONOME app, I built the features I wanted into the all-new BeatClikr. Unlimited playlists, tap tempo, practice reminders, and so much more. Available for iPhone, iPad, and Mac. #guitar#Music2026#practice https://t.co/4Fn0w9dkDJ
Excited to announce BeatClikr #Android v2.6.0. The audio playback engine has been rewritten to fix sync issues and takes full advantage of low-latency or pro audio in newer versions of the OS. #metronome#guitar#music#practice https://t.co/2nKsOALN80
With the release of #iOS17 today, it's time to kick this SwiftUI rewrite of @BeatClikr into high gear. Using ESI sampler and Grand Central Dispatch for very high-precision playback. https://t.co/dL9dHWO6JY
While I'm an application available on #GoolePlay and the #AppStore, I'm also a learning tool. Check me out on GitHub. SwiftUI, SwiftData, CloudKit, Grand Central Dispatch, and @hmblebee's Starling. WIP but the W is going fast and the P is swift (heh).
I'm late to the party, but #SwiftUI is ridiculously fast for prototyping stuff. I've open-sourced the native iOS port of @BeatClikr that does a bunch of new iOS 17 things with animations and SwiftData, and you can check it out on GitHub. https://t.co/dL9dHWO6JY
Coming in 2.5.0: Set the time for your practice reminders, instead of just getting them every 24 hours at the time you turned them on. Duh.
Reminder: All features of the app are FREE. It's a terrible business strategy but a great tool.
Do you need #practice reminders? I know I need practice reminders. New in BeatClikr version 2.4.0: optional practice reminders. On the Settings page, flip the switch to be reminded at the same time each day, and so shall it be. Make some #music today! https://t.co/4Fn0w9dkDJ
Also, fun fact: the @BeatClikr app written in .NET MAUI has a 35% smaller install footprint than the same app written in Xamarin Forms. And that includes the bundled .wav file assets; the X.F version used .m4a files, yet it was still much bigger.
I think maybe the old #Xamarin Forms version of @BeatClikr kept the screen awake while the app was running, but the new #MAUI version didn't because I forgot to port that functionality. This new version today fixes that gaffe.
As I watched my friends use this app, I saw a huge oversight: the screen will sleep while the #metronome clicks. Ver 2.3.1 just hit the AppStore to keep the screen lit while making #music, spurring you on to burn up the fretboard on your #guitar.

Big iOS update! It adds some great features:
- Beat animator
- Fine tempo control +1 / -1 buttons
Don't forget all the cool features: playlists, vibration, and flashlight controls. Android coming soon. Get the #iPhone#iPad#mac version on the #AppStore

BeatClikr not only keeps time perfectly, but also can play subdivisions so you can pick up a 6/8 feel or sixteenth notes, too. Grab it for Android from #GooglePlay here: https://t.co/gyds3d29Cw
Here's a good practice tip: when you're learning a new song, start out slowly so you can play it right, and then speed up as it comes together. Use a metronome and bump the BPM 5-10 at a time.
BeatClikr on the #AppStore helps: https://t.co/AlKxUy5Ptn
And don't forget that @BeatClikr 2.1.0 for #iOS here here as well. Get it from the #Apple#AppStore on your iPhone, iPad, or M1 / M2 Mac now: https://t.co/fE1bT1PoUs
Hey everyone! @BeatClikr for #Android is back, baybee! Grab version 2.1.0 of the best, most feature-packed *free* metronome on #GooglePlay right here. Tell your friends! https://t.co/gyds3d29Cw
The Android version of BeatClikr is in review and should be available on Google Play starting today! You'll know you have it when you see version 2.1.0 on the app's menu.
Lost my Google Play upload key for @BeatClikr because I stuck it in AppCenter and figured I’d never need it again. I am an idiot. Fortunately Google let me make a new one and changed my account to use it. So on Wednesday I’ll be able to upload the Android 2.0.0 update.
