"The idea that every person who suffers from #anorexia fulfils every stereotype is absurd, and dangerous, but it is an idea that is constantly perpetuated, within the media, public view and even our own minds." https://t.co/GWIEZdpC9S
Earlier this month I was proud to lead a team of 20 runners from Oxford and Keele in a sponsored 10k run for @beatED as @BeatOxford Campus Rep. We raised an amazing £1,565 to #SockItToEatingDisorders
I stand with @beatED to demand that anyone affected by an eating disorder is supported, no matter what their diagnosis, gender, ethnicity, sexuality, age or background. Lets break the stigma, fight the battle and raise awareness. #sockittoeatingdisorders#eatingdisorders🧦🧦🧦
This week is Eating Disorder Awareness Week. Each year @beatED provide support to thousands & I'm so grateful for their amazing work. We must act now to increase awareness & access to treatments, & I've offered to work with the Minister to ensure that vital support is available.
Today is the #MHinEducation conference, bringing together representatives from across the mental health & education sector. The #MentallyHealthySchools website gives advice & practical resources to understand & promote pupils’ mental health & wellbeing: https://t.co/RyYrmVRkOC
