To non-Iranian peeps:
Iran as a country, and Iranians as a nation do not fit in any box you’re familiar with. We’re a weird civilization so very unlike the countries around us and the rest of the world. And that’s what confuses you.
Do not ask an Iranian if we’re Muslim or if we eat pork. Do you just randomly ask a Dane if they’re Christian? Don’t be surprised when we drink (Shirza wine is ours). Human rights were first created by us. Jews found home with Persians thousands of years ago and surprise surprie! We don’t hate them.
We used to have our own ancient religon based on good thoughts and good deeds before Islam invaded our wondeful homeland. That’s why most of us hate Islam and its ways of intruding in our lives.
We never adopted the Islamic ways of life or the Arabic language. Our language and culture survived Chinggis Khan and Alexander. Through thick and thin, we stayed proud and brave Persians. This homeland has seen more than you can imagine.
So please, before you start analyzing or condemning what is going on in Iran right now, just listen to Iranians.
We are peaceful people. We don’t support war, be it in Iran, in Gaza, or in Israel.
But more than 40,000 of unarmed Iranians were massacred by this regime in only 2 days. They were unarmed. We are unarmed and that is why you see Iranians cheering after the attacks on the governmental establishments. We have no fucking choice.
My people are writing: “If I die under these bombs, let the world know that Khamenei killed me and nobody else.” “I’d rather die by an American bomb than by the IRGC’s bullet.”
Yeah, it’s a sad story. No war has ever been kind to people. But like I told you, we’re a weird land and a weirder nation. We’re a phoenix, we have risen from our ash in the past. And we’ll do it again.
Long live Iran ♥️
Long live the King 🦁
Mr. Secretary-General, when last month the Islamic Republic slaughtered tens of thousands of Iranians in two days, your response was to congratulate the murderers on the Islamic Revolution anniversary while your organization elevated them to multiple U.N. and human rights bodies.
When the Islamic Republic calls for international law to be respected now, let’s remember:
This is the same regime that has systematically violated international law—through decades of repression, hostage-taking, and human rights abuses.
Respect for international law can’t be selective—it must start with the people they’ve oppressed.
To you, Zohran Mamdani! You stayed quiet when we have faced massacre, when Islamic Republic assassins were sent here in New York to kill us, stay quiet now!
STOP lecturing us Iranians about peace.
I don’t feel safe in New York listening to someone like you, Mamdani, who sympathizes with the regime that killed more than 30,000 unarmed Iranians in less than 24 hours. You talk about “safety” of this beautiful city? Listen carefully; Safety without justice means nothing.
We Iranians do not allow you to lecture us about war while you had nothing to say when the Islamic Republic shot schoolgirls and blinded more than 10,000 innocent people in the streets. You were busy celebrating the hijab while women of my beloved country Iran were jailed and raped by Islamic Security forces for removing it. And NOW you find your voice to defend the regime? No. I will not let you claim the moral high ground.
The people of Iran want to be free. Where were you when they needed solidarity?
New York belongs to people who stand against terrorism not those who excuse it.
This city is stronger than fear.
Stronger than propaganda.
Stronger than you think.
At the United Nations, I confronted a disturbing reality: the Islamic Republic has been granted an advisory role at the UN Human Rights Council.
Yes, the same regime that massacres protesters and shoots them in the eyes is now positioned to lecture the world on human rights.
Europe’s hesitation to designate the Revolutionary Guards as a terrorist organization has cost lives. Please listen to my message to Europeans. The time for excuse is over.
#Iranmassacre
A mother of a sports champion killed in the recent uprising stood at the grave of another grieving mother and held her hands, saying: “Your child is not alone.”
Immediately, other mothers began shouting their children’s names, names the Islamic Republic wants erased.
This is #Iran today; mothers have turned mourning into protest.
Cemeteries into places of unity.
Please don’t stop talking about Iran. Be our voice.
#IranMassacre
I am under massive attack by so-called Western “geopolitical analysts” who say nothing about Khamenei and the IRGC massacring at least 20,000 innocent, unarmed Iranians , yet feel entitled to lecture me about my country and family inside Iran.
You have lying, because of the Islamic regime, people like me are not safe in New york city anymore. Our family inside owner are not safe too.
To punish me, the regime imprisoned my brother. They stormed my mother’s home.
They dragged my family onto state television to publicly disown me. They have sent killers after me in New York three times.
This is the regime you excuse.
This is the regime you sanitize.
This is the regime you call “complex” while enjoying your freedom in the West.
I dare you, come to federal court this Wednesday, January 28.
Look at my would-be assassin who was arrested in front of a university where I was scheduled to give a talk to kill me , with your own eyes. Then lecture me.
While you pontificate from safety, IRGC killers are storming hospitals in Iran, hunting the wounded, finishing off my injured brothers and sisters.
Let me be clear:
If you do not remove the terrorists, they will remove your family . the way they are trying to remove mine.
Stop lecturing the victims.
Name the killers if you dare, if you don’t stop bullying us.
