Yanks have no culture
Mr/Ms *first name* is for speaking to the unmarried (kid or adult). Before you get married you primarily represent yourself as an individual (first name) and after you get married you represent a household (last name).

The claim by some (SSPX?) that Cardinal Burke and Cardinal Müller do most of the TLM priest ordinations is not accurate.
Here are some Catholic bishops who have done ordinations for FSSP, ICKSP, etc:
• Thomas Wenski
• Terrence Prendergast
• Robert Reed
• Andrew Cozzens
• James Conley
• Bertram Meier
• Wolfgang Haas
• Marc Aillet
• Raymond Leo Burke
• Salvatore Cordileone
• Robert Finn
• Joseph Perry
• Alexander Sample
• Edward Slattery
• Athanasius Schneider
• Alain Castet
• Mathieu Madega Lebouankehan
• Guido Pozzo
@FeelsGuy2003 Yea honestly if Catholicism was proven untrue then I would just become an agnostic or something. These people see Christianity as a buffet line with different churches or denominations as different options when for us the Catholic Church is the whole restaurant.
So easy...
St. Ambrose: "Though schismatics kept the faith towards God, yet they kept it not towards the Church of God, certain of whose limbs they suffered as it were to be divided, and her members to be torn. For since Christ suffered for the Church, and the Church is the body of Christ, it does not seem that faith in Christ is shown by those by whom His Passion is made of none effect, and His body divided."
The Catholic Church is constantly in a state of emergency and crisis. If you can’t stomach that then get off the internet and pray. It’s the crises that make saints.
This is literally just comparing autists with normies. I’ve never met a TLMer who wasn’t an autist (not a criticism). But I bet the same stats will hold for Ordinariate Catholics too.
The same divide probably exists between Eastern Rite converts bs ethnic eastern rite-goers.
Listen guys. Don’t shoot the messenger, but the stats don’t lie.
The Novus Ordo is not invalid or evil, but it’s also not doing the best job of feeding the sheep.
Liturgy does matter.
The desparation is pathetic and the research is even more pathetic.
The Convulsionnaires of Saint-Médard (who were seen as weirdos by most Jansenists) were clearly demoniacs and histrionic women (who made up the vast number of Convulsionnaires):
"Rumours spread through Paris that people were speaking in tongues, stomping on Bibles, barking like dogs, swallowing glass or hot coals, or dancing until they collapsed...The convulsionnaires appear to have regarded the body with increasing contempt as the movement evolved through the 1730s. They began the practice of secours (release), which involved the violent beating of the individual who was experiencing the convulsions...Eighty convulsionnaires were arrested in 1736 for beating and cutting each other. They also began to practice regular crucifixions—with nails—to further connect their suffering to that of Jesus Christ and the early Christian martyrs. Brian E. Strayer argues that the movement descended into sadomasochism from 1740 onward; the torture became increasingly brutal while the spiritual content decreased."
Headed to my SSPX Mass today. No we are not excommunicated. Yes this fulfills my Sunday obligation. Yes I am still validly going to Confession.
Haters can hate.
This is indistinguishable from Protestant ecclesiology.
“My chapel says I’m fine, my clergy say I’m fine, I feel fine, haters can hate.”
Cool. Lutherans can say that too.
Catholicism has an actual visible Church, not just locally sourced reassurance from the group Rome just sanctioned.
There is a line out the door to get to the SSPX Mass in North Idaho.
It’s been like this all morning. Packed, standing room only….
This is the 5th mass today, and it’s not the last either.
SSPX errors against Catholic faith:
-(1) They reject, by word and by deed, the penal efficacy of unjust excommunications. This cant be excused by appealing to alleged deficiencies in the CDF declaration, since they *preemptively announced during the consecrations* that *any censure* would have *no value.* That is precisely the logic that Clement XI and Pius IX expressly condemned because it would necessarily lead to ecclesial anarchy. Every heretic and schismatic is unjustly persecuted in his own eyes. Every heretic and schismatic perceives it as a crisis that the Church has condemned his errors.
-(2) They reject, by word and by deed, the supreme juridical authority of the Pope. They have reduced “The First See is judged by no one” to an empty formula. It is manifestly evident that they have relativized it in a way that robs it of its practical value in avoiding schism - the raison d’etre for the principle - and that is totally foreign to the understanding and praxis of the Church throughout its history.
-(3) They reject, in many and diverse ways, the indefectability of the Church. They teach that Roman Pontiffs and the overwhelming majority of the Church’s legitimate pastors have been “animated by a spirit contrary to the faith” for decades and that they have habitually abused their power to “kill everything” they touch - including the “sources of grace.” If their parallel ‘Church’ - which even they concede has not received jurisdiction in a visible, public, recognizable way - is the only part of the Church that gives life rather than death to its members, then the Church’s perennial teaching on indefectability cant be maintained.
-(4) They reject, in many and diverse ways, the disciplinary infallibility of the Church. They allege that a universally promulgated Mass is morally unsafe and positively harmful to souls. They reject the infallibility of the new canonizations using desperate and ad hoc reasoning - it is clear they only hold this position because they detest that the conciliar popes were canonized. But for their unwillingness to put effort into charitably interpreting a few ambigious texts in the Second Vatican Council in harmony with Tradition, I’m 100% certain all these guys would have agknowledged that the theological evidence against these positions is univocal and overwhelming.
-(5) They implicitly reject the perpetuity of the essential marks of the Church. They allege a dichotomous opposition between the “Catholic Church” and the institution they smear as the “modernist Church.” However, they claim to be in communion with and have (disingenuously) sworn obedience to a visible hierarchy that they believe to have been coopted by this “modernist Church.” Thus, they effectively deny that the visible, institutional Church pre-eminently and recognizably possesses unity, holiness, and apostolicity in the present age.
Each of these errors, taken individually, is far more serious than the doctrinal errors they allege concerning religious liberty or ecumenism in non-infallible teachings would be (especially if you set aside the extremely uncharitable hermeneutic thet they employ). Taken collectively, they amount to a wholesale rejection of Catholic ecclesiology by utterly trivializing all of the promises Christ made to his Church and robbing the Church of the practical authority and credibility that are necessary for its mission.
