While global oil prices continue to fluctuate, Nigeria’s rising crude oil production is helping to strengthen the economy. Improved revenues and increased production reflect the impact of effective pipeline surveillance by TANTITA Security Services Ltd. in partnership with @nnpcl, whose efforts continue to protect the nation’s critical crude oil infrastructure.

This is quite commendable. I have always been an advocate of leaders documenting their journeys in public service. Good or bad, let young leaders learn from your mistakes, your successes, and your failures. This is the only way we can build a sustainable system.

OPENING ADDRESS BY THE NATIONAL CHAIRMAN AT THE 109TH MEETING OF THE NATIONAL EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE (NEC) OF THE PEOPLES DEMOCRATIC PARTY (PDP), THURSDAY, 24TH JUNE 2026
Distinguished members of the National Executive Committee, members of the National Working Committee, serving and former Governors, members of the Board of Trustees, leaders of our great party, State Chairmen, elected officials, and esteemed stakeholders, it is my singular honour and privilege to warmly welcome you all to the 109th Meeting of the National Executive Committee of our great party, the Peoples Democratic Party.
Your presence here today is yet another demonstration of your unwavering commitment to the unity, growth, and success of our party. I thank each and every one of you for your dedication, sacrifice, and steadfast belief in the PDP as the foremost platform for democratic governance and national development in Nigeria. As we gather once again to deliberate on issues critical to the future of our party and our nation, I am encouraged by the resilience, patriotism, and collective determination that continue to define our membership across all levels.
As we commence this important meeting, I wish to extend our heartfelt congratulations to Distinguished Senator Olaka Nwogu on his emergence as the victorious candidate for the Rivers South East Senatorial District. His success reflects the confidence reposed in him by both the party and the people. We are confident that his wealth of experience, leadership qualities, and commitment to democratic ideals will continue to strengthen our party and contribute meaningfully to the progress of Rivers State and our nation. We wish him every success as he continues to serve our party and the Nigerian people with distinction.
I also wish to place on record our profound appreciation to all our State Chairmen across the thirty-six states of the Federation and the Federal Capital Territory for their exemplary leadership and dedication during the recently concluded party primaries. The transparent, peaceful, and credible manner in which the exercises were conducted stands as a testament to the organisational strength and maturity of our party. Their commitment ensured that the will of our members prevailed throughout the process, thereby strengthening internal democracy and reinforcing confidence in the PDP as a truly democratic institution. Their efforts have further demonstrated that our party remains firmly committed to fairness, inclusiveness, and the rule of law.
Furthermore, the National Executive Committee commends the members of the National Working Committee for the outstanding leadership, effective coordination, and prudent management they have provided in steering the affairs of our great party. Through their collective efforts, the PDP has continued to consolidate its structures, deepen party unity, and reinforce public confidence in our capacity to provide purposeful leadership for Nigeria. The sacrifices they have made, often under challenging circumstances, have ensured the continued stability and growth of our party, and for this we remain deeply appreciative.
It is also my humble pleasure to specially appreciate the National Youth Leader of our great party for the outstanding innovation, creativity, and strategic vision he has brought to youth development and engagement within the Peoples Democratic Party. Through his proactive leadership, the PDP has continued to reposition itself as a party that recognises the immense value, energy, and potential of young people in nation-building. His numerous initiatives have not only strengthened youth participation within the party but have also inspired a new generation of politically conscious Nigerians to actively engage in the democratic process. These efforts have significantly transformed the way our party approaches youth inclusion, leadership development, political mentorship, and civic participation across the country
THE SPIRIT OF ‘O TO GE’ IS WEEPING.
Watch closely.
Those are not ordinary faces in that video. Those are the revered custodians of our heritage, the symbols of our collective identity, the fathers of our communities.
What have we become?
@RealAARahman Kwarans are watching.
Why did Dan Bello take down his tweet in which he accused Abdul-Azeez Yari of diverting FAAC funds?
Did he realize he was wrong and that it is practically and technically impossible for anyone to divert FAAC funds?
See, I’m all for calling out politicians who steal taxpayers’ money, but you can’t just come out and accuse someone of diverting public funds and then delete the post after realizing you’re wrong without issuing a public apology.
