With common carp outnumbering mirrors by 10:1 on the river, every mirror is extra special. But in all my years on the river, this is the first time I’ve caught a linear so this one is particularly rare and very hard won🏆

What a fish to start my river campaign 👊 This machine of a carp ripped 30m of braid off a tight clutch on the first run. Seconds later a large boat loomed into view and panic set in as I realised the carp was beyond it. Time for some of my best shouting and waving in French!

Well it all kicked off on day 4 of my session with carp of 35lbs, 43lbs and 30lbs falling to each of my rods in the space of an hour 🤯  All carp came on the new little bait loop rig with 2x 12mm Citruz. As soon as I’d released one, the next rod was away! https://t.co/WjIQQkB6Mv
