@justasvee But if you’re burnt out due to no breaks then you’ll not be able to work for longer periods 😉
Try the pomodoro technique or the reverse pomodoro if you’re struggling.
@justasvee I used to love music but only like it in my car now.
Instead, I listen to shows I’ve watched before. I like the chatter.
I rarely watch it I just have it on as back ground noise. Helps quieten my ADHD brain!
@adamfare1996 Oh wow! That is one very un-educated human being.
Both my daughter and I take ADHD meds and our life is so much better.
For my daughter she is making and keeping friends and doing brilliantly at school.
For me, I have built a business and starting a second. ☺️😊
This is just me in general 😂
I know that non-ADHDers don’t get our struggle with housework…
…but it really is a thing!
It’s to do with how our brains process things.
We’re not lazy. We just get overwhelmed quickly.

4 hours for an ADHDer to watch a 2 hour film!
~ 1 hour to pause to look things up on IMDB.
~ 30 minutes to pause multiple times to ask someone what is going on (you’ve zoned out).
~ 15 minutes to go to the toilet multiple times.
~15 minutes on your phone checking TikTok!
@HowtoADHD The fidget toy is from Amazon. The blue is the best. I’ve bought them in black and for some reason they’re not as good.
And my pants are my pj’s!! I live in pyjamas when I’m not working. Even in the summer 🤣
@icreatelife Not knowing I had ADHD until I was 47 years old but built a business even when my brain was overwhelmed.
Now, I’m taking the right medication, I have propelled my business and my life. 😊😊
@markmanson I’m pretty used to disappointing people because my ADHD brain doesn’t do social norms.
I view people as my bestfriend and I’m happy to speak to them once a month.
But apparently that’s rude 😅
@iameddiepinero I always hated being different especially as a kid and teenager.
Now I know my difference is due to a neurodiverse brain, I am loving being different. Only took 47 years 😉
I spend my life apologising for taking so long to reply to messages and explaining I do really care.
I find the notifications overwhelming and I also don’t want a text conversation.
I have to be in the right frame of mind to do the ping pong replying that NT people think is easy!
I rarely finish a book.
I love books but unless I finish it in 1-2 sittings, I lose interest.
I’m no longer getting the dopamine hit I get from reading a new book.
I used to beat myself up about it but understanding my brain has been key in accepting. #ADHD#adhd
