lately, being a black woman has felt so extremely overwhelming (Fearless Fund federal appeal, Angel’s Technical Foul Call, etc.) —
I still wouldn’t want to be anything else but a Black Woman.
Sending an extra tight hug to the girlies with similar feels💕
At 30, this is what I’ve learned:
- Choosing peace over whatever it’s gonna cost you, is so worth it.
- What one won’t do, another definitely will.
- It’s okay to start over. This is the age where you really start to figure out what you want.
- It gets better. All of it.
This girl on TikTok said one of the highest forms of love is consideration and I say this all the time somebody that does not spare you does not love you somebody that does not consider how something could hurt you or make you feel does not care about you!
I reallyyyyy had to learn this past year to ignore the opinions of people who have never been in my shoes and never will be. You’re simply not speaking from an experienced place so some of that “logic” you’re applying is for everyday people & I’m just not that. I say this humbly.
One thing i’ve learned is to double check myself about why I *do not* want to do something
Is it because of fear?
Is my ego in the way?
Has my mind convinced me of something else?
sometimes the things we think we don’t wanna do are actually mental blocks to a positive action
As long as “Classless pieces of sh*t”, & “F*cking idiots” disrespect talented young women we’ll use our platform to share the stories of those unfairly attacked for being their true selves. Truth is, we should all dare to be as bold as these champions. Today we dare!
