Writer. Photographer. Reader. Introvert masquerading as an extrovert. Often wittier after the fact, always funnier in my head. #amwriting#amquerying#YA
One of my clients queried me years ago with a book that wasn't right for me then.
I signed them for their next book, which sold.
Now we're working on that first book, getting it into shape.
Shelved projects don't have to STAY shelved, friends. Just meant it wasn't time yet. 💛
Everyone reads at their own pace, and I'm a slow reader. I just totaled up my 2023 list of books that I read and I hit 34 books! I'm pretty happy with that number.

@sarareadauthor I plan to make 2024 a great year for writing. I hope this new book I’m working on is amazing. And at the very least, my goal is to finish it.
@sarareadauthor Twitter has been wonderful for many years. Until it wasn’t. I’m excited to find a new community location, and would love the new home of #momswritersclub to be it!!
@sarareadauthor Hi, I’m a little late! Spent the day packing up my in-laws house to prepare them for a move. 😅
I’m Becky, I write YA and my 2024 goal is to finish writing a new book.
My 17-year-old is already planning her high school graduation party for next spring and requested a bounce house.
The kids are going to be okay.

@authorjesspayne New snippets of ideas is easy. What’s difficult is shaping them into a full story area. I focus on what I can’t let go. If my thoughts keep going back to the same story, it’s meant to be!
@authorjesspayne The best *will* be being able to say I am. I just need to get published first. The hardest part is all the years of work to get there.
@authorjesspayne I’m not sure I have a “most” because I’ve doubled my reading goal for the year! Two of my favorite recent reads were Anna Dressed In Blood & Live Your Best Lie
@authorjesspayne Hi, I’m Becky. I write YA and I’m proud that I’m still writing. When it’s difficult and would be easy to quit, I haven’t. Still chugging along and working towards the dream!
Ok, I'm calling it: I "won" my #NaNoWriMo.
I hit 40k of words in my doc, more in my notebook, on index cards, in an outline and a spreadsheet. (I bet there's 50k among all that, tho I won't worry about recording in on the site...)
I wrote crap, so I won.
