It's been an unconventional journey but I am so incredibly proud of my first A level cohort (at my current school.) Seen these girls through all the way from year 7 and it was such a joy to celebrate with them today! Now a rest until next week- first GCSE results day as HOY11 😬
Marking year 10 assessments and it is so satisfying. They have worked so hard this year and to see it all paying off is one of the many reasons that this job is wonderful and I am grateful to be doing it
We are really looking forward to this cross-curricular event! We are looking for RE teachers to share the great things happening in their classrooms- if you are interested, please fill in the form and feel free to message if you have any questions 😊
Very much looking forward to tomorrow's TTR Connect event. It is shaping up to be an incredible event and we cannot wait to welcome everyone tomorrow morning!
Less than a month to go to our big event! Cannot wait to learn more from our incredible speakers. Tickets still available, don't miss out:https://t.co/EzV8VYEY46 @TTRadioOfficial
This half term has been hard. But I had the loveliest email from one of my year 11s this afternoon that makes it all worthwhile and has made going in tomorrow a little bit easier. So lucky to have the most incredible year group 🩵
@PastoralThings I'm exactly the same. Went in yesterday, will go in tomorrow. Then back in for the last few days after the bank holiday at the end of the summer to re-establish my routine. I definitely struggle more with this six week break than any of the other holidays
10 coaches, 4 separate locations, nearly 1000 students, months of hard work done single handedly. But Enrichment Day is underway! Need to remember not to do this again next year 😅
Interviewed for a role I really wanted today and didn't get it. Naturally disappointed but reminded of how wonderful the people I work with are. I have incredible colleagues and friends who are endless sources of support. Feeling very loved and lucky!
@michelleecowley @brassoteach I had the exact same experience (also single parent family from Merseyside!). Luckily had one teacher who fought for me at every turn. Followed in his footsteps and never looked back- started my PhD, love my job and advocate every day for my students. I will not be like that guy!
@RogersHistory Classics. I imagine I would have ended up studying it at Uni had I known it existed. Languages as well. I did Spanish to A level and did a bit of Greek, Hebrew and Arabic at uni but wish I could have done them earlier!
On the day of their first exam, I told my year 11 group that no matter the number on the paper in August, I would be so proud of them. Could not be more true today. First time having an options group and I have loved the past two years with them 🥰
