Dolly Parton. A bubbling brook.
The effortless, mellifluous voice. The writer. The musician.
The woman who could unfailingly make you feel good, while with sleight of hand she undid you.
Ah, Dolly. How wonderful it must have been to know with certainty you were that good.
R.I.P
@imagineinquiry I totally agree. My son has done a BTEC in Media Business and has no intention of university.
He is running his own very successful business and at 18 is earning more a year than myself and his father combined.
Not everyone needs a degree. Not everyone needs A levels.
@joel120193@bphillipsonMP@LucyMPowell She’s not the worst. Gove was in my opinion but the teaching profession felt very let down by her and had expected better after years of damaging Tory ed secs.
@n0n0tagain@Edmund_B_W I’m really pleased that you had a friendly and amicable team as this gives me hope. Unfortunately everyone I know who has been inspected under this framework has had the opposite. Rude, antagonistic inspectors leaving staff broken and in tears, describing the process as brutal.
@K8ie1987@llewelyn20 Our LA have very quietly removed hours from all EHCPs. Even if previously it was stated 20 hrs 1:1. All teacher and TA suppprt now in a list of daily 1:1 or small group support.
'I said, if that nice Sarah Vine gets on, I'll let her have my seat, even though I reserved it. What did I say, Roy?'.
'You said fuck that talentless bint, anyone that could marry that Gove twat can stand all the fuckin way'.
@stuzi_pants@rahhead01 Jesus. What a vile, sneering cow. Who does she think she is. How does she know Angela sat at the back talking about who she was shagging?
How dare she.
Angela has more dignity and drive in her little finger than Alison has.
@cmmccormack37@amanda_spielman I totally agree. Under this ofsted framework schools will be graded on inclusion and what we have provided for children living in poverty etc. Areas that really should be down to community and social services are now an inspectable domain of schools.
