@KXAN_News Glad to hear it. My husband has been late to several appointments because he’s wheelchair bound. We always thought there should be an option for wheelchair riders.
Earlier this week I had the privilege of Turing my classes over to this amazing poet. @nattypoet thank you for the engaging experience. My students are still talking about it. Your soul touched mine through your gift.
Finished this book this week. I really enjoyed it. Small town secrets, heros that weren’t heros, the lengths people go to for the the people they care about.
My 2025 goals: Exercise everyday (stretching and Pilates counts) and write/plan a book every week (minimum 3 days a week) keeping mind and body engaged and healthy. I already read daily and that will continue.
Friends and families today was emotional going through this. Just know that I was in my room out of site with over 30 of us. For a class that likes to talk and cut up, no one did. We all shared information on our phone screens as we were hearing from other parts of the campus. I hope to never go through it again, but I’m proud of our amazing SMHS family.
San Marcos CISD Families,
Please read the full message from Superintendent, Dr. Michael Cardona and SMHS Principal, Twila M. Guajardo, M.Ed. regarding the SMHS Safety Incident on Tuesday, Sept. 24.

Introduced a new genre- students started asking ?s about the short text. Impromptu research and discussions based on their questions the lesson morphed from Memoirs to research and student led discussions about what was in the text beyond the words. #studentledlessons@SMHSEnglish

After five hours in my classroom it looks a little overwhelming. It will all come together before my students walk in on August 13th. (I hope).
I have been a slacker in posting my reading spreads for this week. Here are the last three. They are all from a series that I am hooked on. There’s one more book I think.
