@Op_lanre That's not true o. A lower version Samsung is being repackaged in a new sealed Samsung S25 Ultra and sold to unsuspecting victims from this same China.
Japa has destroyed family relations. People dont see their family for as much as 7 to 10 years. I see some only returning home for burial. Even the ones who visit might come once in 2 years. Every important thing in the family, you miss.
What is then the whole point of life?
These kids sold a video-sharing website for $1.65 billion in 2006.
Then vanished overnight.
Today, that site is worth over $455 BILLION dollars.
Here's why they walked away from the most valuable website in history:
Last year, Nigeria assembled the worst legislative house in its history, which is being presided by the dishonorable Godswill Akpabio. There are many things to say about the Senate President who governed Akwa Ibom for 8 years, but what is uncontestable is that, he is definitely not God's will.
The sexagenarian who sits in grandiose ignorance of his legislative duties has been found lacking in character and leadership. His presidency has been plagued by disrespect to the senators and the Red Chamber. More recently, he showed the first sign of whom the gods want to make mad, when he mocked protesters who are coming out to fight for better governance. Instead of covering his head in shame for being a part of a failed government, he said the masses can protest while politicians are eating.
Nigerians are so poor, we will soon disappear from economic reports. The National Assembly has failed to scrutinised effectively the various budgets submitted by the Presidency. The Akpabio led Assembly is at the behest of the President and this was made more lucid by the quick passage of the Bill to change the national anthem in a bid to shift discourse from poor governance. The Assembly has failed to address anything that concerns the welfare of the populace while asking us to endure hardship
Senate Presidency is not just a title, it is a responsibility. Akpabio is at the epicentre of every controversy that one would think he suffers from senescence of mind and body. But he is just 61. His psyche needs to be publicly autopsied. The whole point of leading the Legislature is to represent the people and hold the other arms of government accountable to their duties but he has shown he has decision incapacity. Barely 14 months into office and people have no faith in the National Assembly. With such trust deficit, all hope is lost in a democratic society by a people who already have no trust in the Judiciary.
So today, in a time of unprecedented hunger and political threat, we will not abandon one another, nor we abandon our ideal, our sense of community, our commonality, our shared inter-tribal and multi-religious relations. We will march with one voice. We will call out the failed government. It is our collective responsibility.
Appearance is reality and the reality is that Godswill Akpabio is doing a terrible job.
