@AliJaneMoore My eldest opted to not have a tutor as she wanted me to help her. Was still an expense buying practice papers, time investment and having the skills/ability to do it (even if my grammar school days were a long time ago) - so not universal to all even without the tutor expense
@pippaphysio Welcome to community - it was the best career choices I have made and opens up a million of new doors. I hope you love it as much as I did.
@aDatingDad CCTV front and back (both colour and have audio) and a video doorbell, all connected to my phone and with an iPad style console in the house was a smidge over £1200 two years ago
@CherylLeeAssoc@droedmawr This is why I have postal voted for years now - trying to fit in going to the polling station in person is just too tricky with juggling the rest of life!!
@PaedED Exactly - my brain would go into overdrive and come up with a million (highly unlikely) scenarios in the minute or less walk! I work primarily from home now and the major plus of remote working is it’s far easier to ask, “What is it about? Is it urgent?”
@Katy_primary97 Lighting is key, I have a daylight bulb in my main light and a daylight lamp - before having these I’d get terrible headaches. Followed closely by comfortable chair, a nice desk height, two screens and block out a few spaces during the day to avoid back to back calls
@Siddall83@ZJAyres At Medway Hosp a while back and a colleague got a round of drinks and a treat for us from the hospital cafe. He asked if they did any GF options (coeliac too) & they said they’d bring something out. We all waited nervously. I was presented with GF toast and butter. I was made up!
@Pops__o My favourite meal at uni was a jacket with butter, cheese, beans, 2x bacon and 2x fried egg. I still eat it every few months now (many years later!) whenever I need a “pick me up” meal.
A year on from the Health & Care Act, we surveyed Integrated Care Boards across the country to see how they are responding to the new legal duty to commission palliative and end of life care (PEoLC) services that meet the needs of their population. Here’s what we found🧵
@CherylLeeAssoc @JamesDevineNHS @RoujinGhamsari Haha!! It was a wonderful evening and it was a joy to be able to celebrate with you (including on the dance floor!) 🥂 No photos going up of the music Barry arranged though?! xx
@KateBurkeNHS When I became non clinical I put it on my outlook calendar to help me remember. Back then I didn’t know there were “private” options for calendar entries. I’ve been teased so many times over the years about it that on principle I’ve not altered it so it’s still visible to all! 😂
@HEWilliamsBooks @CraigNikolic @wesstreeting As someone working in an ICB - thank you both recognising this and with the empathy you’ve both shown towards our collective staff. Brutal and decimation are two adjectives I use sparingly but are actually the only words I can find right now.
