Long thread
How Meditation really works?
Our mind is biologically evolved to constantly think because of our survival need. Mind is either in future or in past.
With the technological advances, the world is becoming highly competitive causing this mind to wander even more.
Nine nights. Infinite energy. One celebration of the Divine Mother. ✨
A time to come together in devotion, music, dance and the vibrant energy of Shakti.
Join us to celebrate Navratri 2026 with us at the Art of Living International Center. ❤️
We met @Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar on Pournima morning and chatted about Indian and global situation, future and how the logical teachings of Rishis should reach more people to give them inner peace in these turbulent times.
It's an honor and a pleasure to meet a man who radiates calm energy and grace and has done so much for the upliftment of humanity using Aarsha Vidya and Vedic principles! 🙏🕉️🙏
On this International Day of Peace
@Gurudev, Founder of IAH, reminds us that peace begins within- with comapssion, understanding and human values.
Let’s rise above differences and embrace our shared humanity. 🌍

I sit on the floor (by choice) when I meet religious saints. They always offer me a chair but I decline. I did not realize I am very low-agency.
I go there to let go of egoic attachment. The Guru is not just a person, they represent Sanatana Dharma itself.
Let me narrate something that moved me. Her Holiness Mata Amritanandamayi, when she comes to the stage to speak, does a namaskaram to the audience, and the same audience treats her as the embodiment of God. Why is she bowing to her devotees?
That is the subtlety of Sanatana Dharma. God is the act of devotion, Bhakti.
If the doctor learns some humility, he may come to appreciate her and the wisdom of Dharma she embodies.
As the Zen master said, as long as his cup is full, nothing will enter him.
Dear @theliverdoc, I think you have made a rather large assumption about a person you know nothing about, based on a clip.
You have no idea what I stand for, what I believe in, or the context of that conversation.
And there is nothing wrong with being seated on the floor. I was perfectly comfortable there and it was out of my own choice.
Sometimes respect has less to do with where someone is seated and more to do with how we choose to speak about people we don’t know.
Perhaps a little more context, and a little less assumption, would serve us all well.
Wishing you a low Resting Entropy

“We believe the most appropriate course is to step back and allow the legislative process to proceed to establish a…much needed regulatory framework.” 🇺🇸
Gurudev keeps promoting different cultures through Art of Living. Always believed and lived - VASUDHAIV KUTUMBAKAM!
There’s a movie - WHITE currently in production in which Vikrant Massey is playing Gurudev’s character. Movie is based on how Gurudev ended 50 year old civil war in Columbia.
We need more such Gurus in Bharat. Who promotes authentic traditional homas, pujas and brings the wave of Bhakti and at the same time bridges gap between communities, religions and cultures! Unfortunately there are some just stuck in stardom, and copying other saints.
Guru’s Call Before the Quake -
In early 2015, life took me from Darbhanga to Bodhgaya Ashram for seva. The transition was filled with new challenges, especially adjusting to the intense heat of Gaya ji. Amidst this settling-in, one day we had an appointment with our construction team near the Nepal border.
After completing our work, a thought arose: why not travel a little further to have darshan of Pashupatinath ji? The temple was about 150 km away, and the idea felt like a blessing in itself. So, we set out on the journey.
Nepal greeted us with its serene landscapes, gentle atmosphere, and delightful weather. Upon reaching the sacred temple, however, we found it closed due to the odd timing. Rather than feeling disappointed, the three of us chose to meditate, immersing ourselves in the divine energy of Pashupatinath ji.
As the meditation concluded, something remarkable happened. All three of us, almost simultaneously, felt an inner command — a subtle yet powerful call — urging us to leave immediately. It was not fear, but a deep, unmistakable intuition, the Guru’s energy guiding us. Trusting that inner voice, we left without delay, heading back towards the Nepal border and onward to Bihar.
The journey was long and tiring, and by the time we reached Bodhgaya Ashram, it was nearly lunchtime. Just as we arrived, the earth beneath us trembled — an earthquake shook the land and even the building swayed. Though the tremors subsided, the news that followed was devastating.
Television channels soon revealed the destruction: the temple area we had visited was badly affected, and the hotel we had considered staying in was completely destroyed. This was the April 25, 2015 Nepal earthquake (7.8 magnitude).
In that moment, the truth was undeniable — Guru’s grace had protected us. His unseen hand had guided us away from danger, preserving our lives.
That day became etched in my heart as a living testimony of divine protection. Today, I feel moved to share this story, not just as a memory, but as a reminder of the boundless grace of Pujya @Gurudev ji. Grateful beyond words 🙏😇
Yoga has nothing to do with Buddhism. It is a word from Veda and Bhagavad Gita.
The entire Buddhism is a borrowed philosophy from Vedas and also heavily modified with mythological names.
#WATCH | On flood situation in Nepal, Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar tweets, "Nature's fury and disaster has taken over Nepal at this hour. It has been such a wonderful place for people to visit. And many went as a pilgrim to Kailash Mansarovar Yatra. And many of them lost their lives. In this very difficult time, let's all show our solidarity with the people of Nepal and the affected families and the government of Nepal. Let's pray to Almighty God to give strength to all the victims who lost their near and dear ones. Let's hope that the country will limp back to normalcy very soon and let's all work towards saving the environment, especially in the Himalayan region. Om Shanti."
