@GBNEWS If there's insufficient evidence to make the claim, even though there is, this commentator lacks the evidence to say it's wrong.
Worse, he certainly lacks the evidence to say Trump is a liar.
@visegrad24 They have so much to lose - don't take an ordered society and civilisation for granted.
Also, this woman has no idea what resources they have, maybe they just figured the cost of looting was trivial compared to the gain.
@sausagecreature@ImpactMediaFR@hugo__frances I don't know you, I don't have expectations of you really.
You have tried to argue something but because your argument doesn't stand on its own merits you think the best course of action is to distract with these kind of responses.
@navajofelon France isn't very capitalistic - it's a social democracy where the state is almost 60% of GDP.
They have socialised healthcare, education, transport and some of their utilities.
Why do people think this is what capitalism is?
@sausagecreature@ImpactMediaFR@hugo__frances Your attachment to calling social democracy "neoliberalism" is odd. You should think through critically to see if it's really the appropriate description.
Your emotional response and trying to lean on insults. Refusal to just let a conversation lie - that's something else.
@RnaudBertrand It's just people on the fringes rioting because they think it's exciting.
People have too much and are bored.
They're also no real threat - they're not armed.
@sausagecreature@ImpactMediaFR@hugo__frances You don't have an answer to fairly basic arguments.
You think that insults do the work for you - they don't.
You should think about the things that you think and why you think them.
@nekosattva_chan@K_Niemietz Can you explain how 57% of GDP being comprised by state spending with socialised healthcare, education, transport, utilities and more fits within the ethos and ideology of neoliberalism?
And how is persistently high spending by the state "austerity"?
@sausagecreature@ImpactMediaFR@hugo__frances You clearly have no argument for why we should consider France neoliberal.
I'm happy to hear you out but you seem to have a strong emotional tie to your argument.
And I would call Macron a social democrat.
@sausagecreature@ImpactMediaFR@hugo__frances Argentina has moved towards neoliberalism but it's still not there.
There really aren't any notable neoliberal states in the 2020s.
