Tropilaelaps mites are a devastating pest of honey bees. Thankfully they're not currently in the UK.

The UK government has banned imports of queen bees & beekeeping equipment from Ukraine to help prevent the import of this non-native pest 🐝

@britishbee @pollinisation Using a Varroa monitoring tray can also help you spot if your colonies have varroa-resistant traits. Look out for parts of bee pupae on the monitoring tray along with a low mite drop.
