The US health system is such a joke.
Document everything, research your options. Advocate for yourself. Speak up! Ask questions, insist on resolutions. Otherwise, if you have any condition that requires monitoring you will be ignored.
The universe is so weird sometimes.
Someone tried to steal my car last night. Yay for passive antitheft besides locks, and AAA.
Also, guy in drive through made me laugh so hard. He trolls customers by always saying "Good evening" to confuse them about the time of day.
@hennis1967@DiabeticDadUK No liking due to last sensor, but liking in solidarity of getting them to send one. I'm going to have to rattle some cages had 3 fail in a row on my last one now.
Randomly thinking today how I like the concept house boats. The lack of water hookup in most cases sadly is a dealbreaker. Also, I think dinghy related incidents may be my undoing.
As an adult I think we don't talk enough about how time off, including holidays increases the workload the following day, whether or not you actually had time off.
A few months ago during the management meeting one of the managers pulled a rubber chicken out of her purse. Now randomly, you'll hear it go off in the office. It's been adopted.
Sometimes "professionals" are very unprofessional. Just got a call/email from a recruiter who ignored me over a year ago. I'm well aware of the conflict of interest he had representing me WHILE taking on a contract with my ex employer. Lose my number....🙃
I work in a healthcare setting where many people including myself are immunocompromised; nothing gets to me more than full grown adults 60+ years old failing to cover coughs in common areas. Stop trying to Typhoid Mary up the place!
@flycantbird @Pancreassassin Diabetes, the clingy ex that likes to "check in" when you think things are going smoothly, and unfortunately it *always* has your number.
@nobil_colleen@dexcom I wish I could say I wasn't. But 2/2 of my g7's have failed completely, in the last week. The first just outright told me to change the sensor. Dexcom is replacing both but I shouldn't have to worry my 10 day sensor *may* only last 4 days. Feeling very much like a test rat.
