Fed held rates yesterday, no surprise there. What got my attention: half the committee now thinks they'll have to hike this year to deal with 4.2% inflation. That's the real story.

Stronger dollar means gold's probably stuck grinding lower through summer. Not fighting it, just watching for a floor sometime end of June.

In Nigeria, you can actually buy gold through Alt Invest if you've got an @AltBankNg account. Just another way to diversify.

I think I've mentioned this before but the secret to becoming a really good designer is rather simple.

Many will tell you it's consistency, practicing day in and out. Some will tell you to study the greats and throw some decent names about, as though quoting from sacred books, while urging you to experiment as you try to find your creative voice& style. Very few will mention going rogue, attacking the things you want to learn by yourself, conditioning your mind to overcome failure and frustrations while digging their feet in and channelling their grit to push forward no matter how difficult it is. I am amoung such a few.

They're mostly right, to a fair degree.
But, the secret to be a really good designer, dare I say, a great designer...the secret is delusion.

Some will say it's belief and at its core, it's that's true, but that is only half of it.
You have to believe that you will not be a good designer...but that you ARE a good designer, then commit everything, every fibre in your bones, every strength you can muster to making that belief come through, not letting failure hold you back, not letting stagnation set you still, not letting harsh words from everyone else pierce your skin.

You embody that belief from day one until the day that belief becomes true reality... the day you really become a good designer. Truth be told you won't even know when that day comes, you'll be single mindly pushing yourself to better your craft. But that day will come and when it does, be sure to look back and appreciate how far you've come, take stock of the creative you will be then and chart your way forward to the creative you desire to be.

Delusion.
Believe that you are first, then become.
