Our pace in every day life has a huge impact on our nervous system. The faster we move, the more we will mobilise our system. The opposite is also true, the slower we move, the more we tend to shut it down.
Generally speaking, it can soothe our system to slow down just a little.

I have often lamented in my own therapy sessions that healing is bittersweet, like (very) dark chocolate: It still tastes good, but it's not my favourite. Why? Because healing may come at a cost. If you are looking for 1:1 trauma therapy, send us a DM!
Did you know that we now also support organisations with all forms of trauma?
Employees or teams might be struggling with personal or organisational traumas and near-misses, bullying, harassment, performance issues, or simply not feeling happy. Send us a message for more info!

What do James Bond, Merida and Morgan Freeman have in common? They can all serve as an anchor in the form of a Protector or Wise Person in trauma therapy.
Anchors or 'safe people' don't always have to be โrealโ people from a clientโs life: We can use characters, or symbols!
