@AhenkanEnoch South Africa doesn't support human rights violations. Most African leaders are sick in their heads. I mean Ghana just passed a law send gays to prison. What kind of human rights abuse is that?
@AhenkanEnoch When we fought for freedom, it was freedom for everything including the choice to be who you want to be....countries like Ghana stoll want to dictate what freedom means and in the process they oppress those they deem not part of the free...in 2026, this is disgusting.
@AhenkanEnoch@MzMabaso Because we believe in human rights, bodily autonomy & freedom. Additionally our MPs are not for sale to Western right wing Christian nationalist actors who want to use religion to re-inscribe barbaric colonial practices around our families, sexual reproductive health and freedom.
@AhenkanEnoch@MzMabaso It's weird to obssess about what consenting adults do in private. Mind your own business, worry about what your own private parts are doing and with whom.
It's none of government's business how adults express their sexuality
The South African Revenue Service (SARS) intercepted suspected cocaine consignments during a targeted pre-dawn Customs and Excise operation at the Port of Durban today.
The drugs were hidden inside heavy-duty excavation equipment imported from South America.
Following cargo profiling and customs risk assessments, SARS officials inspected the shipment and detector dogs identified suspicious parcels concealed inside two excavators.
Approximately 90 large bricks of suspected pure cocaine were recovered, with preliminary testing indicating the substance is cocaine.
The South African Police Service (SAPS) secured the scene and has taken over the seized material for forensic testing and further criminal investigation.
Authorities are still confirming the exact weight, street value, origin, and intended destination of the drugs.
SARS Commissioner Johnstone Makhubu said the interception demonstrates SARS’ intensified crackdown on illicit trade and organised smuggling networks.
He highlighted the role of advanced cargo profiling systems, non-intrusive inspection technology, and intelligence-driven operations in identifying high-risk shipments while allowing legitimate trade to continue efficiently.
SARS also praised the coordinated efforts between customs officials, SAPS, and other law enforcement agencies, stressing that the Port of Durban remains a critical trade gateway where enforcement and border security operations will continue to be strengthened.
