It only takes a lunch break to get swarmed, but your just one call away to rehabilitate.
I'd like to thank the boys in LaSalle for reaching out.

Just finished up at the almost urban yard (I need a better name for this).
Both colonies look fine.
Merged a queenless nuc with another nuc. Now I have a 4 frame nuc and a 4 over 4 nuc with local queens a in them.
5k has been spent on my beekeeping hobby over the last two years. I’ve already accepted that I’ll be spending another 3k on queen breeding equipment for next spring. I can’t imagine feeling comfortable doing this if I wasn’t living with my parents. 🥶💸
I started packing up my mating nuc yard at hawk view. I took a queen and moved it into the queenless hive. The other queen was given to hawk view.
Also harvested 4 frames of honey from a couple hives.
I made a pretty dumb mistake, I requeened the wrong hive last week. What’s the point of recording everything if I don’t review it. I’ve already known from working in CNC that I can not trust anyone, not even myself. Everything must be double checked.
Went in the hives late in the afternoon. I brought my smoker but didn’t have a lighter on me, thought I would be fine if I used my weed vape to smoke them out. All I did was get stoned and pissed off bees.
I did this to myself.
I was in a lot of pain.
Mistakes were made.
Almost urban yard.
Nuc 1 accepted the mated queen.
Nuc 2 has has a mated queen in it 🎉
Nuc 3 is hopelessly queen-less and I’ll shake the bees into another hive tomorrow.
Cell builder hive has accepted the queen and found capped brood. Now it’s a normal hive again.
Harvested and processed all my mason bee cocoons. They will be stored in the refrigerator until spring of 2021.
I was not able to collect any leaf cutters bees due to parasitic wasps killing the bees before they could hatch out of their cocoons.
