During his interview with MSNOW's Symone Sanders-Townsend and Eugene Daniels, Hasan Piker talks about Hamas, the Palestinian resistance as a whole and the issue with the concept of a 'perfect victim.' He compares it with other liberation movements throughout history: "And that is the issue at the heart of the matter; people want perfect victims. Whether they be Black people engaging in the Civil Rights' struggle, historically, whether it be the forces against apartheid in South Africa, whether it be the liberation struggle in Algeria. The expectation from the white moderate or the expectation from people who enjoy the order that exists in civilized society, is that people are not supposed to fight back and try to even match the intensity or the violence of the occupation, the colonial entity or the forces of police brutality that are defending white supremacy. So, that's the reason why I make this distinction. I want people to start thinking; what would they do in that situation? What would they do if they lived in the world's largest open air prison that's hermetically sealed, that is a nuclear armed state, that is backed by the most powerful entity on the planet?"
"He's a 9/11 survivor, you piece of shit, his mom was pregnant with him during 9/11 and she walked out of the World Trade Center before the second plane hit."
"Sounds like his mom is the 9/11 survivor."
"HE SURVIVED 9/11 LARRY. HE WAS INSIDE HIS MOTHER, HE SURVIVED!! HE'S A SURVIVOR!!!"
"HE DOESN'T EVEN REMEMBER 9/11. HE WAS A FETUS!!!"
"He might have been a fetus, but YOU REMEMBER A NATIONAL TRAGEDY!!! IT'S CALLED INTERGENERATIONAL TRAUMA!!!"
"Osama Bin Laden said the mission failed because they didn't take out that one fetus!! 9/11 failed!!!"
"Oh, fuck you, fuck you Larry"
Reporter: The elephant in the room tonight, or lack thereof—
El-Sayed: No, the elephant was not in the room. The elephant decided that they did not want to be in the room. The elephant cowarded out. Although the elephants were all in the room in Dallas.
It’s wild to me that this guy is more interested in going to speak for, what, six minutes and 48 seconds in Dallas than he is to have 60 minutes with Michiganders here in Detroit.
But it tells you who he is. He’s a coward.
So if I were him, I wouldn’t debate me either.
Reporter: So did you buy his excuse for not wanting to be here?
El-Sayed: What was his excuse? He’s in Florida?
Nah. You totally waited. Waited until there were no functional hospitals, until the death toll rose in the thousands, waited until they were dropping white phosphorus on civil population, you just waited....did NOTHING to stop the genocide.
Don’t let the too little, too late nature of these sanctions distract you from what is an absolutely seismic moment, not only for the Palestinian cause, but for Britain and Europe, who are finally establishing a sovereign foreign policy instead of having America’s foreign policy.
Wow! The resolution to condemn DSA moves forward by just 1 vote. What a coincidence that 2 Democrats voted for it. That's the exact number they needed to get it through! The Republicans sure are lucky!
it sounds unbelievably stupid but i have become this media cycle’s “trans athletes” or “migrant caravan.” wild how much supposedly liberal outlets let fox news play the role of news desk editor.
odd how none of these outlets will have me on to interrogate my beliefs directly
I feel like Third Way announcing a couple of weeks ago that they were about to spend $15 million to attack the left wing of the Democratic Party is probably correlated with the infighting now happening 9 weeks out from a general election
