A classic, unspoilt pub, originally built as accommodation for railway workers. A marvellous rural survival; a tiny bar at the end of a cottage in a beautiful spot by a bridge over the River Fiddich. 🏴
It's a lovely day in Skipton! The beer festival opens at 11am in the beautiful Town Hall. Come along and enjoy cooled beers, ciders, perries and lagers. The outside area is in full sunshine. 🍻😄🌞
Beer O'Clock. The Broadside is on fine form at the Great Spoons in Ilford and so good that I've paid for it and now enjoying it whilst waiting for my next pub to open. Cheers 🍻
Unlike modern roads where water drains to the edges, Lovat Lane features an old, preserved central gutter trench running directly down the middle of the cobbled stone street. The lane preserves its original medieval width before the Great Fire of London in 1666,
This is a uniquely London and specifically central London thing in my experience. It’s a great London culturally quirk, with probably brought about by lack of beer gardens in central London pubs.
