@txgowan@LongHallOwl@beer_chris@CityAcreBrewing Yep, very sad to hear that one.
To add closings, 6 Wards in Dickinson closed but is reopening as Strong Arm with the same brewer/owner and new owners.
@LongHallOwl@beer_chris I’m not sure who bought it. John’s post back in Feb about the sale and their move to Tennessee to start farming left the new owners pretty vague. I’m honestly shocked that I haven’t seen an official announcement beyond that.
I rarely sell what I make, but I have 2 cutting boards for sale for $50.
The one with holes is 11x15.5x1.5, the one without is a little larger 11x18x1.5.
These are made from a Beech butcher block counter.
@geoffdrinksbeer I went from a 92 F150, which was basically a tank, to an 03, to an 08. Progressively bigger with smaller engine blocks. The 08 had a V8 and still I could have climbed inside and closed the hood
@AliceHicksRoach We could have spent a week exploring around the Grand Place, but we really only had a day. We did a chocolate tour that was really cool, basically a walking tour of the city with chocolate that was a generic Groupon type thing. And of course Cantillon was cool.
@nhallfreelance@DesertFoxATX@cltomlinson I heard a few years ago about a proposal to use salt domes as a compressed air storage system, not unlike hydro storage systems. Is that something that became reality?
@geoffdrinksbeer I haven’t seen that argument beyond satire. I used to drove an 8mpg truck for 10 years. With the exception of when I worked as a part time janitor in 2007 and filling up both tanks was over $100, gas was always been a small part of my expenses.
