On July 2, the Boston Red Sox were in last in the AL East, had the fourth-worst record in the league and were 6.5 games back of the final wild card spot with six teams to leap.
Today, the Red Sox are a half-game behind Minnesota and Seattle for that final wild card spot.
🇸🇪 "If United can find a way to pay that €70 million, then because of the Ruben Amorim factor, the player would actually be keen to link up with his former boss again without Champions League football next season."

Red Sox extensions since Craig Breslow was hired:
⚾️ Brayan Bello: 6 years, $55M
⚾️ Ceddanne Rafaela: 8 years, $50M
⚾️ Garrett Crochet: 6 years, $170M
⚾️ Kristian Campbell: 8 years, $60M, according to @SmittyOnMLB
Alex Bregman told the BIG3 (Mayer, Anthony and Campbell) and other prospects to get a suit and he will pay for it. Mayer said that he was excited because it was his first suit.

.@JeffPassan on Kristian Campbell:
“I was in Red Sox camp this week for three days, and let me tell you, they loooooove them some Kristian Campbell. They think he’s going to be a star.”

This is the reaction from Devers the Red Sox should want. They should want him to be prideful about his position, they should want him to want to compete for it and they should appreciate the fire. In the end, they'll decide, he'll mash, and it'll all be fine.
One thing I’ve always found awesome about Alex Bregman is his ability to speak Spanish.
Bregman wanted to connect with his Spanish-speaking teammates, so he went out of his way to try and learn the language.
The Red Sox needed a leader. This is premier leadership right here.
