While the whole country is debating petrol-ethanol, the bros from Madhya Pradesh have already pulled off what is arguably India's first major ethanol scam, not counting you know who.
There is a govt policy that surplus rice in govt warehouses can be sold to ethanol manufacturers at subsidised rates to prevent it from rotting.
According to a Dainik Bhaskar report, the scam began when some officials allegedly (willingly?) ignored the rules and allocated "newly procured" fortified rice (not even regular rice, but fortified rice) for ethanol production. The rice, bought at a high price (₹4,000 per quintal), was sold at a throwaway price (₹2,320 per quintal) to ethanol plants.
The ethanol plant operators allegedly knew it was fortified rice, so instead of using it to make ethanol, they sold it to rice millers at ₹2,800 per quintal, and instead bought cheap broken rice (₹2,100 per quintal) from the open market for ethanol production, making an overall profit of ₹700 per quintal.
The rice millers allegedly repacked the fortified rice in new gunny bags and supplied it back to the govt as freshly milled rice. The govt paid them milling charges, while the govt supplied paddy they were actually supposed to mill was allegedly sold in the open market for another round of profit.
So the same bag of rice allegedly kept changing hands: govt warehouse to ethanol plant to rice mill to back to govt warehouse. Everyone in the chain allegedly made money.
The MP govt formed an SIT. So far, four people have been arrested and 12 trucks seized. Investigators suspect that up to 50 lakh quintals of govt rice, worth around ₹1,160 crore, may have been diverted through this alleged racket.
Dainik Bhaskar reports a scam of ₹1,160 Cr by Madhya Pradesh govt.
Officials allegedly sold fortified govt rice bought at ₹4,000/quintal to ethanol plants for ₹2,320.
Ethanol plants allegedly resold it to rice mills for ₹2,800, and bought broken rice for ₹2,100 for ethanol production.
The mills then allegedly supplied the same fortified rice back to the govt as freshly milled stock while selling the original paddy in the open market.
They allegedly did this with 50 lakh quintals of govt rice!

> Work 10-12 hours daily
> Pay 30% tax on salary
> Pay 30–50% tax to buy car
> Pay tax on car insurance
> Pay road tax
> Pay tax on ethanol-blended fuel
After paying all this, cars worth lakhs are floating in sewage, gutter water.
Now will pay ₹15–20k in repairs. Shameful !
14 innocent men were arrested just because a 13 yr old girl ran away from her home to have sex with her bf.
She filed a fake rape and trafficking case after getting caught, no medical evidence of rape.
Arrested guys are just staff members of the hotel she went to have sex in.
She was an employee at a Bengaluru daycare. She saw babies being tortured, loaded on to washing machines, stuffed down toilet bowls. She complained. She was sacked. She became a whistleblower and exposed the horrific crimes. She should have been rewarded.
She has been arrested.
18 women in Nagpur, Maharashtra complained about kidney problems to their doctors in the span of two years. Doctors saw a pattern and checked that all of them were using this pakistani cream sold by many Instagram pages and meesho.
FDA Maharashtra took the cream samples. Sent to lab and found out that it has 752x mercury present in it above the legal limits. yes, 752x.
Yes, This mercury (poison in this case) can make you goree in 15 days because it blocks the cell that makes melanin. But in reality thats a chemical damage that looks like fairness. And guess what, our skin absorbs mercury and keeps getting deposited in kidney all the time.
I know you might not be using this cream or meesho, but please check around, especially with your house help and your family members back in hometown, if they are using this cream, please ask them to throw it RIGHT AWAY!!!
