Been exploring data on solo founders this weekend. A few interesting things stuck out so far.

36% of new startups had one founder in 2025.

In 2019, it was 24%.

Could it be way higher now just six months later?

This might be more interesting.

According to Stripe, the top 10% of solo founders are generating 61x greater revenue in the first six months from launch vs. the average. That’s twice the gap it was four years ago. Pretty wild IMO.

I think it’s true that AI is lifting all boats for creating and building things. It’s also true that the best founders — those applying tools with entrepreneurial rigor — are seeing way, way outsized returns.
