Beginner Cook

I like to cook, but am not great at it. Follow my epic journey as I cook mediocre meals, posting pics of how they should look and how they actually turn out.

Much easier to make than I thought! Used powdered sugar too because SUGAR! Definitely going to be making these again.

Oh, here is what they should look like when they are done. Damn those are some fine looking donuts...

[Beginner Cook @BeginnerCook]

Got a hankering for some donuts (at 10:30 at night), Decided to attempt making them myself. Stove full of boiling oil, what could go wrong?

[Beginner Cook @BeginnerCook]

Turned out great! Added butter and milk to get the right flavor/consistency. Never underestimate the power of butter!

[Beginner Cook @BeginnerCook]

I've decided to try my hand at potato soup. This will be soup in about 45 minutes. How? Magic. That's how.

[Beginner Cook @BeginnerCook]

No off brand fruit loops. Thus, off brand fruity pebbles! Turned out great! Also squares are for losers. Domes ftw!!

[Beginner Cook @BeginnerCook]

After that sushi I decided I needed somwthing sweet. So fruit loop rice crispy treats! Here is what I am going for.

Made homemade sushi tonight! From scratch! Really! See? Its on a blue plate and everything! Guess I'm pretty amazing.

Just realized I can take pictures of food I did not make and claim it as my own! But I promise not to do this. I am a person of integrity!

How it turned out. That black part is sausage (should be covered by egg). Looks like crap, tastes a little better.

Today: Toad in the Hole, (it's British). Guess I'm on a breakfast binge. Here's what it is supposed to look like.

[Beginner Cook @BeginnerCook]

Why do pictures of food on the internet always look better than mine?! Note to self: find worse looking food online.

[Beginner Cook @BeginnerCook]

Okay, for this one I did not need a recipe. Breakfast this morning was awesome! So good I forgot to post until now...

[Beginner Cook @BeginnerCook]

How it turned out. So... freaking... delicious. Cheese on bread on cheese on ham. All cooked in butter. Pure joy!

[Beginner Cook @BeginnerCook]

Today's lunch: Inside out grilled cheese! Chese on the inside... and outside! Lets fry up some cheese covered bread!

[Beginner Cook @BeginnerCook]

I hate dishes... so much. And note to self: do NOT leave a greasy pan in the sink over night. Soak that nasty thing.

[Beginner Cook @BeginnerCook]

Turned out much better than expected! I'm now a firm believer in sticking fruit inside birds. And, bacon is awesome.

[Beginner Cook @BeginnerCook]

How it was supposed to look. Bacon wrapped chicken, stuffed with an orange. Because why not stuff fruit into a bird?

[Beginner Cook @BeginnerCook]

Inspiration! Dad got it for me as a gag gift, but I've decided that my dinner will come from this book. Awwww yeah.

Don't have time to cook tonight (class). Trying to decide on something interesting for tomorrow. Open to suggestions for future meald too.
