Unpopular opinion:
AI’s biggest issue right now isn’t the model.
It’s the incentives.
People create the data → platforms take it → no one gets rewarded.
So yeah… why would quality improve?
That’s why PerleLabs is interesting to me.
They’re trying to flip it:
→ create data
→ verify it
→ reward contributors

Simple, but makes sense.
Fix incentives → better data → better AI.

AI is moving fast, no doubt.

But honestly, I feel like the real issue isn’t the models — it’s the data.

Most AI today is built on:
- scraped content
- unverified sources
- and people who contribute getting nothing back
So yeah… quality can be pretty inconsistent.
That’s why PerleLabs caught my attention.

They’re focusing on the layer underneath:
→ users create data
→ data gets verified
→ contributors get rewarded
Simple idea, but it makes sense.
Better incentives → better data → better AI.

Not saying it’ll definitely work,
but at least it’s solving something real.

Hot take:
AI doesn’t really have a model problem right now.
It has a data problem.
Most models today are trained on:
- scraped content
- messy / unverified data
- and people who create value don’t get rewarded
So yeah… quality is kinda all over the place.
That’s why I find PerleLabs interesting.
They’re trying to fix the layer underneath:
→ users create data
→ data gets verified
→ contributors actually get rewarded
Simple idea, but it changes incentives a lot.
And in AI, incentives = behavior.
If people care more about the data,
the outputs will naturally get better.
Still early, but this makes more sense to me than most AI narratives lately.
