JADE speaks about the LGBTQ+ community and the importance of allyship at WeHo Pride’s OUTLOUD festival:
“This next song [Church], we wrote with you in mind, the LGBTQ+ community. It’s a song about acceptance, togetherness, solidarity, and it really does mean so much to me.
I know I’ve already said it, but I’m so so grateful to have you as fans. I really mean this: being an ally is one of the biggest privileges of my life. I am who I am because of this community… Whether that’s my friends or family or fans, you really have made me a better person – and I strive to be a better ally every single day.
If there’s anyone in the audience tonight that is also an ally, who’s here with a friend or family, please know that it’s so important that you stand up and speak up and show up, alright? Because change doesn’t happen without allyship.”
@mushycrouton@KT_GenXer1969 Yeah I've just discovered that. Sometimes it's very hard to tell. Thank you for telling me. I guess she's the certain demographic I'm talking about 😂
