Excessive regulation by State governments has made tourism investment extremely cumbersome. A hotel needs nearly 50 clearances to start operations. This slows growth in a sector that can become a $1 trillion industry and create 50 million jobs. States must eliminate regulations and move towards facilitation. This is critical for job creation.
