Please. *Please* just go and see this and give it a steady growth. I know that it's a given for LAIKA films not to do very well but we need to show up.
Prove to the studios that in this world of soulless slop where people have no attention span, a film like this still matters.
Indians are 1.5% of US population, contribute over $300 Billion USD in annual taxes, own 60% of all motels & are the top of food chain in Doctor- Engineering & CEOs posts
>In Tanzania- 0.1% but contribute 4% to GDP
>In Uganda -0.1% but 65% contribute to GDP skull
>In South Africa- 1.7% but contribute 10% to GDP
No to mention so many Indians were forced to leave by the Ugandan dictator, the Indian-Ugandans are another success story, one of them being Rishi Sunak who became a PM of UK & continue to be a top figure in UK Politics
yall don’t actually want original movies if you won’t go see Wildwood.
> director is adamantly anti AI
> the entire film was handcrafted puppets and environments
> some of the best action of the year right up there with The Odyssey
> made me cry twice in the theater
My Great Grandfather x 5 came from Germany and landed in Pennsylvania in 1735. Hindus have done nothing but make great contributions. Low crime, high income and low key. Colour and dance is exactly what this world needs right now.
Seeing a lot of growing raw hatred against India, Indians, Hindus, Indian-Americans, etc. for no reason.
Would be happy to have anyone who feels that hatred quietly unfollow me. Simple. Clean. Thanks in advance.
In 2022, retail investors were praised as “shock absorbers.” Today, easy FII exits are explained through liquidity.
Madam, liquidity explains HOW investors can leave. The harder question is WHY they want to.
Higher taxes, expensive valuations, and weak after-tax returns demand answers and not vague reassurance. Taxes alone cannot explain every exit. But pointing to liquidity sidesteps the harder question:
"what makes staying invested in India less attractive than leaving?"
Domestic investors can cushion foreign selling. That does not make foreign capital irrelevant or Indian savings an endless cushion.
How long will we applaud the strength of the shock absorbers before questioning the conditions that keep testing them?
What an amazing display of alertness and quick reflexes!
Watch how swiftly this CISF officer reacted when a passenger tried to flee during baggage screening at Delhi’s Jama Masjid Metro Station.
Great presence of mind and lightning-fast response. It is officers like him who make our public spaces safer every day 👍🏼
@CISFHQrs
Income tax in India has become so BRUTAL that @FinMinIndia doesn’t even seem to treat taxpayers like human beings.
No damn government has the moral right to take 30% of someone’s income while providing fifth-grade facilities in return.
Taxpayers are not ATMs for an incompetent government. If you demand world-class taxes, deliver world-class infrastructure and public services.
indian hate is very low-class bc anyone who has been in a solid academic or corporate environment has interacted with them and knows they are generally great citizens. chuds can’t clear the bar to those spaces
Show me the people from India doing that here in the US.
Then show me the homeless and illegal dumping all over the US.
We'll quickly find out who does what.
@grok - Who is responsible for more pollution and a drain on the US economy? Indian Americans and those here legally on visas, or the homeless population in the US?
Conversely, which group is more civic-minded and contributes the most to the US economy
I have no doubt that if LTCG is waived for equity investments held for longer than 2 years, or 3, it will mark the beginning of the longest bull market India has ever seen.
I am deeply disappointed and disturbed by reports that a Palatine teen was charged with plotting a mass shooting at a Hindu temple in Aurora.
This alleged attack, driven by white supremacist hatred specifically targeting Indian Americans and a place of worship, is unacceptable and has no place in our communities, state, or country. Every family in Illinois—regardless of background or faith—deserves to live, work, and worship without fear of violence.
I’m grateful for the coworker who alerted police and for the swift response by local law enforcement and the FBI that stopped this plot before anyone was hurt. Extremism and planned violence must be met with the full force of the law.
This hits especially close to home for me. My husband and I expanded our company to India—first in Kolkata, then Hyderabad—where we employed hundreds of people. Many became colleagues, friends, and apart of our family. I personally helped some of those employees and their families immigrate to America, meeting them at the airport and helping them settle into our communities. These are hardworking people who have strengthened our country, state, and our district.
I stand firmly with our Hindu and Indian American neighbors against this kind of hatred. We are stronger when we protect every family and every house of worship, and when we reject extremism completely.
I am horrified to learn about the attempted mass shooting at a Hindu temple over the weekend, and I am grateful that @CongressmanRaja and his family are safe.
The threats of white supremacy and anti-Indian hate must be taken seriously and unequivocally condemned. My heart goes out to our Hindu and Indian communities in North Carolina and beyond in the wake of this frightening attack.
I am outraged by the anti-Indian and anti-Hindu hate that is rising across the country and impacting so many, including my friend and colleague @CongressmanRaja
This attempt to slaughter families while they pray is the epitome of evil. We must combat anti-Indian and anti-Hindu prejudice wherever it occurs and continue strengthening the security of minority houses of worship.
I am incredibly alarmed about the alleged attempt by a white supremacist to commit an act of mass violence at a Hindu temple in Aurora, Illinois, and I thank law enforcement for their swift response.
Anti-Indian and anti-Hindu rhetoric is at an alarming level in America, and now we are seeing that hatred turn into violence.
Bigotry against any community has no place in America, and I remain committed to ensuring that everyone, regardless of their race or religion, can live and practice their faith openly in our country.
